Tina Mazzi, LCPC
About Me
Tina Mazzi specializes in helping clients through issues including anxiety, low self esteem, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, and trauma. She employs a person centered and strengths-based approach in her work with clients where she gets to know and understand someone’s personal uniqueness. She strives to provide an empathic and supportive space for her client’s therapeutic journeys that allows for individual growth and healing. She incorporates a variety of techniques and modalities and tailors them to meet the specific needs of her clients. Therapy with Tina might include identifying negative thought patterns and cognitive restructuring, mindfulness and relaxation training, and distress tolerance. Her therapeutic approaches include Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Tina completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from James Madison University in Virginia and a Master’s Degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte in Clinical/Community Psychology. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland with over 15 years of experience working with mental illness in both the clinical and the community setting. Tina's experience ranges from helping adults with challenging life transitions to severe and persistent mental illness.
